# FCT Title Insurance

## To add your FCT account, click “Real Estate” to deploy the Real Estate menu. Click “Settings” to deploy the Settings menu and select “FCT Integration” to open the FCT Integration window.

1\. Enter your FCT credentials and click "Save".

**NOTE:** FCT does not require law clerks and legal assistants to sign up for FCT credentials as all validation is completed against the **assigned lawyer** on file. To use this integration, the assigned lawyer to the matter will need to have entered their FCT credentials in their Prolegis profile.

The assigned lawyer's **FCT profile** must be enrolled for the FCT Title Insurance application to order FCT Title Insurance through Prolegis.  To request enrollment for the FCT Title Insurance application, send an email to residentialsolutions@fct.ca requesting title insurance access for your FCT account.

2\. To order an FCT Title insurance policy, navigate to the matter navigate to **Insurance**. Prior to ordering the title insurance, complete your data entry.

To obtain an FCT Quote, you will need to add a title to your matter **Titles** and add the address, purchase price and property type information **Contract \> APS (ON)** and **Contract \> Details (AB)**.

To complete an FCT Order, depending on your responses to the underwriting questions, you will need to add the mortgage information **Mortgages**, information about the seller’s lawyer **Stakeholders \> Lawyer**, information about the real estate agent **Stakeholders \> Real Estate Agent**.<https://prolegis.tawk.help/article/how-do-i-find-a-matter.>

3\. Select FCT from the list of available Title Insurance providers.

4\. Click Actions \> Purchase.

5\. You will be taken to the FCT portal.

The icon in the FCT portal indicates that you will need to enter that information into Prolegis for it to populate in the FCT Portal.

6\. Once the order has been completed, the title insurance documents will be added to **Documents**.
