Managing Matter Requisitions in Prolegis
The Requisitions tool is designed to help you track and manage items specific to your current matter. While standard, boilerplate requisitions are automatically included in your generated letters, this tool allows you to link specific title objections directly to the relevant instruments or create standalone tasks.
Before You Begin
Note on Standard Requisitions: You do not need to manually add general requisitions (e.g., standard residency or corporate authority clauses). These are already included in the Prolegis default requisition letter.
Linking a Requisition to an Instrument
When a requisition relates directly to an instrument registered against the parcel, linking it ensures your file remains organized and the data flows correctly into your documents.
-
Navigate to Titles > Parcel.
-
Click the chevron (expand icon) next to the property to view the parcel information and registered instruments.
-
Locate the specific instrument and click + Requisition.
-
Select a Template: Click the "Please select" dropdown to choose a pre-configured template.
-
Note: Once saved, this requisition will automatically be pulled into the Requisition Letter during document production.
-
-
View/Edit: The linked requisition will now appear under the Requisitions section of that specific instrument.

Creating a Standalone Requisition
For requisitions that are not tied to a specific title instrument (e.g., a requirement for a new survey or a specific repair to be completed), you can create a standalone entry:
-
Navigate to the Requisitions tab in the main matter menu.
-
Click Add Requisition.
-
Enter the details of the request and save. Like linked requisitions, these will be included in your generated correspondence.
Tracking and Completion

Prolegis provides two ways to mark a requisition as "satisfied" or complete:
-
In-Line: Check the box directly next to the requisition within the instrument view.
-
Follow-Up View: Expand the Follow Up section at the top of your screen and check the box next to the corresponding task.
Pro Tip: Marking a requisition as complete helps your team track the status of the file at a glance, especially during the busy lead-up to closing.
