# How do I indicate that the seller or buyer is signing by way of power of attorney?
## When a buyer or seller is not signing documents personally, Prolegis makes it simple to assign a Power of Attorney (POA). Once added, the system will automatically update and format all your generated documents—including the Transfer of Land—to reflect the attorney signing on their behalf.
### 🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Navigate to the **Seller / Buyer** workspace tab in your active matter.
2. Select the specific client who will be utilizing the POA.
3. Click the **+ Power of Attorney** button.
4. Enter the Attorney’s details in the fields provided:
- **Full Name**
- **Occupation**
- **Birth Date** *(Optional)*
5. Click **Save**.
### 🔄 What Happens Next?
Prolegis handles the formatting for you. Any produced documents, signing blocks, and registry forms generated after this change will automatically adapt to ensure the POA wording is compliant and properly mapped.
