# How do I know when the foreign ownership requirements apply? (Alberta)

## When your title is uploaded into Prolegis, it automatically detects whether foreign ownership requirements apply.

Once you've uploaded the title to the property, Prolegis will automatically detect whether foreign ownership provisions apply.

A controlled land flag will appear in the details section in your matter.
