This update is more than a visual refresh; it is a data-driven improvement to your core workflow.

The New Navigation Bar

Q: Where did the "Matter Actions" menu go? A: We have replaced the nested dropdown menu with a locked horizontal navigation bar at the top of your screen. This ensures your most-used data entry points are visible and accessible at all times, regardless of how far you scroll down a page.

Q: Why was this change made? A: Efficiency. Our data shows conveyancers interact with these menus dozens of times per matter. By moving these to a single-click header, we save you significant manual effort. For power users, this eliminates up to 800 unnecessary clicks per day, saving roughly 15 to 30 minutes of daily navigation time.

Q: What is located in the "Tools" menu? A: The Tools Menu in the header acts as your command center for matter management and utilities. It contains:

  • Workflow Utilities: PDF Composer, Follow-ups, and Communications.

  • Portal Access: Direct preview links for associated portals.

  • Matter Management: Options to Archive the matter and access specialized administrative tools.

Q: Will the horizontal menu stay visible if I scroll down? A: Yes. The menu is "sticky," meaning it stays locked at the top of your browser window. You can jump between layouts or access the Tools menu without ever having to scroll back to the top of the page.

The Matter Info Fly-Out ("i" Icon)

Q: What is the "i" icon in the header? A: This is the new Matter Info Fly-out. Clicking this icon opens a side panel containing high-level matter details (such as File Number, Property Address, and Client Names) that you can reference without leaving your current work screen.

Q: How does the "Auto-Copy" feature work? A: We’ve made copying data even faster. When you hover your mouse over a data field in the "i" fly-out, your cursor will change to a "+" icon. Simply click while the plus icon is visible to instantly copy that specific data to your clipboard for use in emails or external documents.

Q: What do the blue hyperlinks in the fly-out do? A: If you notice a detail in the fly-out that needs updating, simply click the hyperlinked field. Prolegis will instantly navigate you to the exact layout where that information is stored, eliminating the need to search through multiple screens.

General Questions

Q: Do I need to migrate any data? A: No. All existing data, matters, and documents remain exactly where they are. This update only changes the navigation layout to make your access to that data faster and more intuitive.

Q: What if I can't find a specific action on launch day? A: All previous "Action" items have been organized into the horizontal tabs or the Tools menu. If you have trouble locating a tool on January 14, our support team is available via the instant chat button in the bottom corner of your screen.
